What more could you ask for? From 10 pm to midnight the dance floor will be open—and organizers promise some special surprises along the way. Brooklyn Pride events technically run for a week—including a baseball game at Coney Island on June 6 and a movie night on June 7—but it caps off with one big day full of activities.
The event is emceed by Andrew Barret Cox, and includes a drag dance troupe, burlesque performances, circus acts, and go-go dancing. The event is most suitable for kids agedbut all ages are welcome. Brooklyn DJ and pop artist Softee will set the soundtrack of the afternoon. While not an official pride event, the Annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade is a very Queer-friendly community celebration where all are welcome! Dance the night away alongside the gogo talents of @ninadiviina and @maddiecrump, while @cameroncolenyc plays the summer’s hottest hits!
Brooklyn Pride Day. Saturday, June 22, 1 p.m. Join us June 29th for the annual NYC Pride March!. 42nd Annual Mermaid Parade (June 22nd, Brooklyn) The Mermaid Parade is an iconic Coney Island event celebrating the start of the summer season.
Beginning at the Exley at 2 pm, guests will then move to Macri Park at 3 pm, then to the hot new hangout in town, Animal, at 5 pm. From 10 am-1 pm, participants will find plenty of entertainment, including a campy drag story hour, a live performance from Latino American musician Flor Bromley, a photo booth, clowns, and refreshments.

NYC Pride March. June 29, 12 pm West Harlem, Free to attend Harlem Pride celebrates 15 years inand the organizers expect around 20, people to show up this year to take part in the extravagant block party. The King Neptune is sideshow historian Joe Coleman, and the Queen Mermaid is Coleman’s wife, artist Whitney Ward.
The main event of Pride Month is the extravagant parade through Manhattan, a tradition dating back to —the first anniversary of the Stonewall riots. Participants will gather at Sheridan Square at 11 am, and begin the march to Battery Park at am.
Forthe march is focused on fighting for marginalized youth and against the war on Gaza. 18+. With a full day of dance music and performances running from pm, you can party the whole afternoon away, or swing through later after the Road to Pride Bar Crawl, perhaps?
Participants dress in hand-made costumes based on themes of the sea, mermaids, and nautical mythology. This year, the organizers are kicking off Pride Weekend with a Priday dance party running from 9 pm Friday to 5 am Saturday. 9PM to 11PM at Coney Island USA's Shooting Gallery/Arts Annex. From pm, you can walk them through several pop-up stations, including a dog psychic, healing pet reiki, a photo booth, and a market area with free organic treats.
